About Us

Since the year 2000, the Orange County Barnabas Group has been a Community of people, Connected together to Impact the world. Our name comes from the character of Barnabas found in the New Testament. There are 2 core things we want to take from Barnabas and make them the DNA of our Community.

Barnabas brought what he had, resources from the sale of a field, and he laid it at the Apostles feet as an offering. He brought what he had and offered it to the church. We want to encourage our Community to bring what we have: our experience, our success, our failure, our passion, our interest, our energy, our convictions… to bring them to Jesus and offer them. We want to be used.

Barnabas was an encourager. Constantly he encouraged Paul, the growing church, young leaders, older leaders, and many others. He was constantly building people up, so much so that they called him the Son of Encouragement. We want to be a Community that Encourages others. You are better because of your interaction with us and our Partners. We want to come alongside people who need some help and we want to journey with them. We want to encourage!
